Do wedding caterers need a kitchen?

It's not always necessary for us to have access to a kitchen in order to prepare the food for a reception as we have our own commercial kitchen for all preparation. However,  if the venue does not have a kitchen or if it is not available to us for use, we may need to bring in our own portable kitchen. This will include all the appliances and utensils necessary to serve the food on site. In some cases, we may be able to work with the venue's staff to use their facilities.

Most venues in Melbourne & the Yarra Valley will have space for caterers to prepare and serve food for guests.

Wedding catering no kitchen

We are able to provide mobile kitchens, which means we can set up all the equipment we need in order to prepare and cook the food on site. This is a great solution if there isn't a space at the venue.

Another option is to choose a menu such as our finger food or buffet-style meals, as these can be prepared in advance and don't require cooking on site. This is also a good choice if you're working with a tight budget. When you're choosing a wedding venue, be sure to ask about their preparation areas and whether they have any flexible options that can work for your event.

Do wedding caterers provide servers too?

Essential Catering provide both excellent food and service. You get friendly, attentive food and beverage service from our experienced wait staff. Your dedicated event manager will be keeping an eagle eye on every element of the service. So, the only finger you’ll be lifting is when you raise a glass to toast your happy day.

If you’re looking for a worry-free wedding, full service catering is the way to go. We’ll work with you to design a menu that fits your taste and budget, then take care of all the logistics on the big day. That includes everything from setting up the buffet or family-style meal to making sure everything is served at just the right time. And, of course, we’ll take care of all the cleanup afterwards so you can relax and enjoy your first night as a married couple.

Wedding catering with alcohol

One of the first things to consider when planning wedding catering with alcohol is what type of liquor you would like to serve. If you're looking for something budget-friendly, wine and beer are always popular choices. If you're wanting to go all out, you could consider a full bar with mixed drinks.

But, if you choose to provide your own alcohol, you'll need to make sure that you have enough for all of your guests and that it is properly stored and cooled. You'll also need to consider the cost of providing alcohol for your wedding catering. Keep in mind that you will need to have someone responsible for serving the alcohol so that no one overindulges.

Wedding catering with vegan options

Whether you or your partner are vegan, or you simply want to offer a cruelty-free option for your guests, vegan catering can be a great way to make your wedding stand out. Plus, with the growing popularity of plant-based diets, it’s likely that you have at least a few guests who would appreciate a vegan option.

If you’re considering vegan wedding catering, here are a few things to keep in mind:

1. Talk to your caterer about your options.

When it comes to vegan catering, you’ll want to make sure that you find a caterer who is familiar with the cuisine and can work with you to create a menu that meets your needs. Be sure to discuss your vision for the food, as well as any dietary restrictions or allergies that your guests may have.

2. Consider a buffet-style meal.

Buffet-style meals can be a great option for vegan weddings, as they give guests the opportunity to choose what they want to eat. This can be especially helpful if you have guests with different dietary restrictions, as they can simply avoid the dishes that don’t work for them.

3. Get creative with your menu.

Just because you’re having a vegan wedding doesn’t mean that you have to skimp on the variety or flavour of your food. There are plenty of delicious vegan dishes out there, so get creative and come up with a menu that will tantalize your guests’ taste buds.
